Two IDPs whipped and robbed by riders near Hamadiya Camp

Gunmen belonging to local militias attacked two men from the displaced camp in Hamadiya in West Darfur. The gunmen approached them at a location close to the camp and stole their mobiles and bicycles and pumping hoses which were with the two when they were attacked.

The gunmen approached them at a location close to the camp and stole their mobiles and bicycles and pumping hoses which were with the two when they were attacked. A witness told Radio Dabanga that the gunmen, who were on camel-back, fired bullets in the air to stop the two displaced people who tried to run away. The source added that after being robbed, the two displaced people faced severe whipping by the gunmen before they returned to the camp tired and bruised. The witness also said that the authorities have enforced security patrol on the camps starting at an early time in the evening saying that there is a patrol curfew in the city.

The victims were Adam Mohammed and Abdul Aziz from Block 10, Hamadiya Camp.
