Several displaced beaten up by armed group

One seriously injured taken to hospitalAn armed group attacked, beat up and looted several displaced persons at the Ban Jedid Camp, Serbra locality (Western Darfur). Witnesses told Radio Dabanga that 5 gunmen opened fire on 4 displaced people as they were on their way back from the market to the camp. “No-one was hurt from the bullets, but then the group beat them up with rifle butts, slapped them in the face and kicked them,” they told Radio Dabanga. “They also took their possessions, money and mobile phones.” One of the displaced, Ali Kundu, was seriously injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.
