Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) have not been expelled from the North Darfur state area of Shangil Tobaya.

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) have not been expelled from the North Darfur state area of Shangil Tobaya.

Musbah Ibrahim Mohamed Ahmed, the deputy director of Shangil Tobaya who works for MSF told Radio Dabanga that, despite rumors of their expulsion from North Darfur, they have continued their work in the area of Tawila, Dar Zaghawa and East Jebel Marra.

He added that MSF handed over all health activities and centers in the area of Shangil Tobaya to the North Dafur Ministry of Health.

In a report on 16 July a Sheikh from the Shangil Tobaya camp told Radio Dabanga that government authorities had expelled MSF and that as a result health services have ground to a halt (http://www.radiodabanga.org/node/33367).
