Fuel shortage affecting different sectors in S. Darfur

The fuel shortage along with its high prices have started to affect other sectors of the economy of South Darfur, such as the agricultural segment, a citizen of Nyala told Radio Dabanga on Friday. He said the region is witnessing these problems for the past two days, adding that the price of a tin of gasoline boosted from 50 to 75 Sudanese pounds in the black market. Scarcity of gasoline led to the rise of transportation prices between Nyala and other localities, besides affecting the region’s agricultural sector.
