DRA projects opened in Zamzam camp, North Darfur

The North Darfur governor opened a number of Darfur Regional Authority (DRA) projects at the Zamzam camp for the displaced on Sunday.
Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a camp resident said that state governor Abdelwahed Yousef, accompanied by DRA head Dr El Tijani Sese, opened a police station, a basic school, and a secondary school for girls in the camp.
He said that during “a large ceremony” the governor told the displaced at the camp that security, health, and education are his government’s top priorities.
“The governor promised to add classrooms to the basic school and to build another secondary school for boys in the camp within 45 days”.
Zamzam, near El Fasher, capital of North Darfur, with more than 150,000 residents is one of the largest camps for the displaced in Darfur.
