West Jebel Marra to get assistance

Humanitarian mission to provide shelters, medical supplies and water rollers

An inter-agency mission departed for West Jebel Marra on Sunday in order to provide humanitarian assistance in the area.

The humanitarian mission that left from Zalingei comprises the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, UNICEF, UNHCR, World Health Organization, Food and Agricultural Organization, Danish Refugee Council and UNAMID.

The operation aims to deliver humanitarian assistance, especially plastic shelters, medical supplies and water rollers to the affected people. It is also expected to assess the situation on the ground.

In the coming week, the team will reach out to the villages of Nertiti, Kutrum, Kiwilla, Thur, Golo and Killin.
