Says it will return only when peace talks take a serious turn

The Justice and Equality Movement’s (JEM) negotiation team informed the Doha Peace Agreement mediation committee of its imminent departure from the Qatari capital on Monday.

Ahmed Tugod Lisan, JEM’s chief negotiator, told Radio Dabanga that their delegation would leave the city, and only return “when the negotiations would be serious enough to achieve real peace.”

The Doha Peace agreement was signed between the Sudan government and the Liberation and Justice Movement (LJM) on July 14, 2011.
