Water supply unreliable in district of Darfur’s largest city

The water supply is irregular in part of Nyala, the largest city in Darfur. The residents of the Khartoum Bileil neighborhood in Nyala North Locality complained to water management authorities about water cut-offs over the last more than three months. They said that the water authorities did not respond to them. A number of citizens who spoke to Radio Dabanga said that they have to stay up at nights just to fill one barrel. They appealed for equality with the rest of districts of the city of Nyala, which enjoy a continuous supply of water.
