Trade convoy ambushed in northeast Darfur, killing five

Five people were killed yesterday between Um Heglig and Um Gozein in North Darfur. Those towns are situated on the east-west road that runs from North Darfur into North Kordofan.One resident in El Kuma said that the five slain men were part of the guard of a commercial convoy traveling from Omdurman to El Fasher. They fell into an ambush by gunmen at White Creek (Khor Al Abyad).
