W. Darfur minister denies discrimination against IDPs children

The Minister of Education in West Darfur denied that a state school in Zalingei had expelled any pupils who are children of the displaced (IDPs).  Residents of the camp Khamsa Dageig near Zalingei had complained of the expulsion of 35 students from Imam Ali School for non-payment of tuition fees. Minister Abdullah Khamis explained that the expulsion of pupils from schools is prohibited and added that financial matters are settled with councils that set educational requirements of parents.
