Tribal clashes in Abbouri, South Darfur leave 6 dead

At least six people were killed, among them a woman and her child, on Saturday in the area of Abbouri, close to Rehaid El-Birdi in south Darfur. The clashes were the result of tribal conflict.A witness told Radio Dabanga that the clash was between two branches of the El-Taisha tribe; El-Jararha and Sons of Rashed on Saturday in the area of Abbouri, resulting in the death of six people; four belonging to El-Jararha, among them a woman and her child and two to the Sons of Rashed.Abd El-Rahman Bashara, Nazir of the El-Taisha tribe, told Radio Dabanga that they were able to contain the problem by applying civil procedures and that the police arrested several perpetrators and is still searching for the others.
