The teachers of Malha Camp for Sudanese refugees in eastern Chad are striking now for a second week. They are protesting poor wages.

The teachers of Malha Camp for Sudanese refugees in eastern Chad are striking now for a second week. They are protesting poor wages. A teacher said to Radio Dabanga that the strike entered its second week with the participation of 110 of teachers from the primary schools. The teacher said that the teachers submitted a memo to the organization “JRS” (Jesuit Relief Service) requesting to increase their salaries.  Malha camp includes 4600 pupils in primary schools.
