SRF attacks government convoy in Darfur killing scores of people

Tuesday at 4 in the afternoon the Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF) said it attacked a convoy of the Sudan government in the village of Dugu Al Umda, close to Al Malam in South Darfur. According to the SRF the convoy, consisting of 65 vehicles, was carrying soldiers, Central Reserve Police (Abu Tera), border patrol officers, weapons and food. It was on its way from Al Malam to the North Jabal Marra Mountains. The SRF in this area consists of the SLA Abdel Wahid and SLA Minni. The SRF attacked the 65 vehicle large convoy and killed up to 100 soldiers the spokesperson of SPLA Minni, Adam Salah Abakar, tells Radio Dabanga. He said they took all the food supplies, 60 of the vehicles and destroyed five (5). He also stated that they are currently hunting down all escaped soldiers. The spokesperson added that the SRF is gaining control of the areas between Dugu Al Umda and Al Malam. Three of the SRF soldiers sustained injuries.
