South Sudan officials accuse Sudan of bombing Maban

At least one child was killed and three people were injured in aerial bombardments on Khor Tumbak village in South Sudan’s Maban county in Upper Nile state. Maban’s officials blame the bombing on the Sudanese Air Force.
Commissioner of Maban county Luke Saadallah Deng told Radio Tamazuj that Sudanese aircraft bombed the village of Khor Tumbak from Friday morning until Sunday morning.
“The day before yesterday we were surprised with aerial bombardments at Khor Tumbak village,” he said. “We didn’t receive the information early as the area is far from here. In the evening, we received people who sustained injuries because of the air raids.”
Most of the estimated 3,000 villagers fled to nearby forests, he added.
