South Darfur camp resident beaten comatose

Barima Ibrahim Mohamed (75) of Kondobe camp in Sirba locality, West Darfur, is in a coma in Kondobe hospital after he was beaten and whipped by government-backed militiamen on Thursday. The militiamen entered his house at about 11.30pm and beat and whipped him. “The gunmen fired shots in the air before they robbed Mohamed of 17 sheep and fled”, the spokesman for the Sirba camps reported to Radio Dabanga. Barima Ibrahim Mohamed (75) of Kondobe camp in Sirba locality, West Darfur, is in a coma in Kondobe hospital after he was beaten and whipped by government-backed militiamen on Thursday.

The militiamen entered his house at about 11.30pm and beat and whipped him.
