Security targets Darfuri students at Al Neelain and Sudan universities

The security service raided the Al Neelain University and Sudan University detaining students affiliated to the Darfur Students Association claiming it supports insurgents. A student told Radio Dabanga that security watches Darfuri students at university and in residential areas so it can control their actions. He appealed to civil society and human rights organisations to defend the rights of Darfuri students who are innocent and have already suffered with their families internally displaced or living outside Sudan in refugee camps. He also called on Darfuri students to stay cautious and vigilant in the future, immediately report emergency situations and try to move around in groups to be ready for all eventualities. The student added that Darfuri students have been targeted for assassinations by the National Intelligence and Security Service.
