A man was shot dead in a street robbery in El Fasher on Saturday, two days after a security agent was killed in a car theft in the state capital.

Armed men opened fire on Minq Edord on Saturday, a witness told Radio Dabanga, and stole his mobile phone and money. Edord was on his way to his house in El Nasr district in El Fasher. On Thursday evening, gunmen shot dead a member of the National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) in the eastern part of the city, and stole his car.

Herders' attack

On Saturday morning, herders entered their cattle by force of arms in the gardens of the residents of Fata Borno area in Kutum locality.

A witness told this station that the group of herders, riding seven camels, entered about 100 camels in the gardens of farmers. The witness reported that the farmers tried to chase the camels out of the farms, after which the herders opened fire in the air.
