Rebel forces say it defeated the army in west of Jebel Mara

A fierce battle between the Sudanese army (SAF) and armed rebel forces (SLA-AW) ended yesterday. Nimr Abdul Rahman, the spokesperson of Abdul Wahid’s faction, said that the rebel forces managed to control the area of Jebel Marra and had taken over twelve cars and destroyed twenty others. He also stated that the government forces robbed Souq Saboon Elfakr and Gorlang Banj markets and stole a number of cattle. Finally he stated that the battle had caused a difficult humanitarian crisis for the civilians in eight villages.
