Policeman shot foiling North Darfur market break-in

Police officer Adam El Nur was shot in an exchange of fire with a paramilitary group who attempted to burgle a shop at Kabkabiya market in North Darfur early on Wednesday morning.

A witness told Radio Dabanga that policeman Adam El Nur, who is part of a unit that guards Kabkabiya market, was shot in the thigh.

The witness said that the robbers fled before they could break into the store.

Officer Adam Nur was transferred to Kabkabiya hospital.
