Nyala Teaching Hospital doctors on strike; citizens call for urgent reforms

The citizens of South Darfur called on the Ministry of Health and Hospitals for urgent reforms, as Nyala teaching hospital’s doctors have gone on strike last Wednesday. Sources explained to Radio Dabanga that the strike was provoked by the lack of response from the hospital management and the Ministry of Health to the doctors’ demands for essential medicines, equipments and aids, as even the simplest tools (gauzes, threads…) are missing.Nyala’s teaching hospital already went through a crisis when its surgeons went on strike earlier this month to protest against their working conditions.
