Militiamen shoot, rob cattle trader in North Darfur

Militiamen shot and robbed a man from Tawila camp for the displaced in North Darfur on Monday. A camp sheikh told Radio Dabanga that “government-backed militiamen” attacked a cattle trader Ahmed Mohamed Abdallah in the area of Jeili. They shot him in the chest, thigh and feet.  They then robbed Abdallah of SDG5,000 ($870), his mobile phone, a donkey, and other belongings, and then fled. Militiamen shot and robbed a man from Tawila camp for the displaced in North Darfur on Monday.

A camp sheikh told Radio Dabanga that “government-backed militiamen” attacked a cattle trader Ahmed Mohamed Abdallah in the area of Jeili. They shot him in the chest, thigh and feet. 

They then robbed Abdallah of SDG5,000 ($870), his mobile phone, a donkey, and other belongings, and then fled. The victim was transferred to El Fasher hospital for treatment.
