Militiamen kill three, rape woman, and herdsmen release cattle on farmlands in West Darfur

Three people were killed and a woman was raped in the locality of Kireinik in West Darfur during the last two days. Multiple sources from Kireinik locality told Radio Dabanga that militiamen on Monday raped a woman farmer near Um Tjouk throughout the day and then left her at around 3am. Also on Monday, a group of militiamen shot Dour Mohamed and his father while they were returning from their farmland. Mohamed died on the spot while his father was critically injured and transferred to the Kireinik hospital for treatment. The sources also reported the killing of two passengers of a lorry en route from Saraf Omra to Um Tjouk on Tuesday when gunmen opened fire at the vehicle. Mohammed Emeilis and Antar Zakaria died and Omda El Mahdi Mohamed Hasaballah was injured. Farmers in El Geneina locality told Radio Dabanga that armed herdsmen grazed their cattle at gunpoint on the farmlands east and north of El Geneina Town.
