‘Sudanese military convoy destroyed, matériel seized in Blue Nile’: SPLM-N

The armed wing of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), under the umbrella of the Sudan Revolutionary Front (a coalition of armed rebel movements) claims it has destroyed a Sudanese army convoy in Blue Nile State. The spokesperson for the SPLM-N, Arnu Ngutulu Lodi, reported to Radio Dabanga that on 26 November SPLM-N forces attacked and destroyed a military convoy named Radd El Udwan “on its way to commit crimes against innocent civilians as part of the government’s dry season campaign”. The convoy was destroyed between Torda Bugol and Salbel in Bau County. The SPLM-N forces seized three Land Cruisers mounted with machine guns, two machine guns, three RPG-7 rocket launchers, and 23 Kalashnikov assault rifles. Four army vehicles were destroyed. The fleeing Sudanese army Forces (SAF) troops left behind five dead. The SPLM-N lost two troops. Four others were wounded. Lodi added that the SPLM-N is closely following the movements of SAF and militia troops.
