Kalma camp leader says UNAMID reneges on promise to protect
A leader of the displaced people in Kalma camp in South Darfur warned of renewed clashes, more intensive than before, if UNAMID does not accelerate its deployment of forces in Kalma 1, Kalma 2 and Kalma 3. A leader of the camp said that they had agreed with UNAMID that the peacekeepers would complete buildings and reinforce its troops at the camp. But UNAMID did not meet their promises, he said. He added that UNAMID would be liable for for any events that happen at the camp. The camp elder was speaking to Radio Dabanga from Kalma.
