Jebel ‘Amer gold mine collapse kills two people

Two gold seekers were killed and another two were injured when a mine collapsed on Sunday August 26 in Jebel ‘Amer, El-Sref Beni Hussein Locality North Darfur. A witness told Radio Dabanga that the mine collapsed while many gold seekers were working inside. The two injured men were taken to the hospital in Saraf Omra for treatment. The witness added that since the start of the gold excavation last year, more than ten people were killed due to mines collapsing.
