Grim humanitarian situation in Nuba Mountains

Activists state that the humanitarian situation in Nuba Mountains is extremely serious, entering a phase of near starvation. They demand, that the UN Security Council, will refer these violations of human rights, to the present indictment against the Sudanese State, by the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

Activist Nagy Koloku, member of Youth for South Kordofan, told Radio Dabanga, about what is going on in the state. He said that massacres are carried out and that they are under continuous air raids, together with a complete blackout of media coverage. He complained, that it is impossible for the children to go to school. He also claimed, that the government has been reluctant to set up camps for people, who have fled the attacked areas.  Nagy told Radio Dabanga, that access to humanitarian aid has been obstructed too.
