Girl gang-raped for eight hours in North Darfur

Militiamen gang-raped a girl from the Rwanda camp for the displaced in Tawila locality, North Darfur, on Monday. One of the Rwanda camp sheikhs told Radio Dabanga that Janjaweed on camels and horses assaulted a 12-year-old girl on Monday, when she was on her way home from school. They alternately raped her for eight consecutive hours. The victim, in shock, was taken to a hospital in El Fasher for treatment, the sheikh stated. The incident was reported to the police.
