Four lawyers remain in detention after participating in protest

Four lawyers and members of the Darfur Bar Association have been detained for eleven days now. The Sudanese security forces arrested the four men after they participated in a peaceful protest demanding President Omar Al Bashir to stop the use of excessive violence against peaceful protesters.

In a statement on Thursday the Darfur Bar Association demanded the immediate release of the four lawyers. Tariq Ibrahim El-Sheikh is detained in Khartoum, Adel Abdullah Nasr El-din, Mohammed Ahmed and Abdul Rahman Hassan in Nyala.
