Two re-arrested upon release, taken to undisclosed location

Four citizens charged with undermining constitutional order, waging war against the state and forming a criminal organization were let off by the Nyala court on Wednesday. The defendants, who were arrested for planning a demonstration to overthrow the regime, were pardoned due to lack of evidence after the court heard the accounts of witnesses in the case.

However, after release from the Nyala court, the security personnel re-arrested two of the former accused, Salah Babiker Adam Abdallah and Adam Abdallah Harran, and took them to an unknown security agency.

Lawyers of the defendants have asked for their immediate release, describing the process of re-arrest as a violation of the law and the Constitution.
