Deteriorating situation in Bentiu area, South Sudan

Darfuris who are present in the Western Nuer area of Bentiu in South Sudan complained of deterioration of the situation in the area after the Sudanese government blocked all the roads linking the North to the South a month ago.

Darfuris who are present in the Western Nuer area of Bentiu in South Sudan complained of deterioration of the situation in the area after the Sudanese government blocked all the roads linking the North to the South a month ago.  One of the members of the chamber of commerce in the area said that the price of sugar has reached 320 and a pound of sugar is worth 3.5 pounds while a bottle of oil has reached 150 pounds and a sack of onions 350 pounds. The trader urged international organizations to help the affected Darfuris, whose numbers have reached 3000 affected people practicing trade and businesses in the area.
