Rains seen as blessing in Malha, hardship in Kass

Heavy rainfalls which poured in Kass town in South Darfur destroyed houses and fences in the camps for displaced people, leaving a number of them out in the open with no tents or covers. The displaced people called on international organizations to send covers for the displaced people, along with medicines and equipments to face the rainy season and protect the environment.

The falling of rains was described as a blessing especially in the area of Kendra where there are no water pumps or wells. One of the citizens of the area urged the humanitarian and governmental organizations to dig a well and establish a water pump in the area since it is witnessing an acute shortage of drinking water.
