Concerns over measles outbreak in Bahr El Arab –East Darfur

An outbreak of measles is spreading in the Bahr El Arab locality of East Darfur state, a resident told Radio Dabanga. According to the source, the first cases of measles were diagnosed two months ago, with infection quickly spreading, especially among children, pregnant women, and the elderly. Health authorities reacted with a partial vaccination campaign, but the disease has since re-emerged.
