Citizens flee Delling as fights continue

Citizens from Dilling (South Kordofan) informed Radio Dabanga of the continuous fights taking place in the city everyday between the Government and the Sudanese People Liberation Movement (SPLM). Due to the ongoing conflicts, the inhabitants of the city and its vicinity relocate to its outskirts (2-3km) every night to sleep, and go back during the day to eat. They report that the intelligence and security services collect the phones of anyone suspected to collaborate with the SPLM. Life has apparently stopped in Dilling, where schools are now closed and a large part of the population relocated to Khartoum. Only a few citizens, whose profession is linked to the city, remain.
