‘Arbitrary arrests’ reported in Abu Shouk

Residents from Abu Shouk camp in North Darfur are complaining about ‘arbitrary arrests’ carried out by security services at the site, they told Radio Dabanga on Thursday, 29 November. According to sources, security authorities are randomly detaining the displaced under the pretext that one of them stabbed a member of the military police inside one of their homes last week. Displaced and activists told Radio Dabanga that four people were arrested and placed under investigation for their alleged involvement in the murder.
