Herders critically injure four displaced, sources

Four residents from camp Mornei in West Darfur were critically injured after being heavily beaten by herders on Wednesday, 28 November, eye-witnesses informed Radio Dabanga. The herders had allegedly invaded the victims’ farm in Wadi Balah, West Mornei, to graze their cattle, and the displaced were beaten after attempting to release the livestock. Onlookers affirmed the victims, beaten with rifle butts and whips, were transferred to a Mornei hospital for treatment. According to camp’s residents, the herders’ cattle completely destroyed the farm. The Mornei police was informed about the incident and arrested one of the herders, sources told Radio Dabanga.
