Abu Jubeiha court in South Kordofan reopened

The court of Abu Jubeiha in South Kordofan resumed its work on Thursday, after having been closed for more than a week.
The ruling judge decided to close the court ten days ago after a Military Intelligence (MI) force, commanded by a captain, stormed the premises, and seized a representative of the Agricultural Bank and a tractor.
The tractor had been confiscated from a resident of Abu Zabad after his inability to pay instalments to the Agricultural Bank. He then complained about the court’s decision to his relatives working for Abu Jubeiha MI.
A lawyer told Radio Dabanga from Abu Jubeiha that the judge agreed to reopen the court after the tractor was returned and the commander of the Abu Jubeiha army garrison and the MI captain had apologised to the judge and the court administration.
The parties agreed that the law would take its course in the complaint filed by the judge against the MI force.
The lawyer added that the MI appealed the judge’s decision concerning the tractor to the Kadugli Court of Appeal.
