A young woman from Deleig camp for the displaced in Wadi Salih locality, Central Darfur was raped by three militiamen on Saturday. One of the camp sheikhs told Radio Dabanga that the “government-backed militiamen in military uniforms” assaulted the woman at about 2pm. She was returning with firewood collected in the area of ​​Jebel Mount Keija, east of the camp. The men repeatedly raped her until 4pm. The victim was transferred to the hospital of Deleig for treatment. The sheikh added that the incident was reported to the police, who did not move to prosecute the perpetrators.
