Young woman raped by paramilitaries in Darfur’s East Jebel Marra

Two men, allegedly members of the Rapid Support Forces government militia, raped a young woman (16) in East Jebel Marra today.
“The girl was tending her family’s farm some 10 kilometres south of Fanga when the two paramilitaries in a Land Cruiser spotted her,” a relative of the victim told Radio Dabanga.
“They seized her and raped her alternately,” he said.
A farmer in the neighbourhood who witnessed the assault hurried to Karo village where we live and informed us. We immediately went to the farm where we found her bleeding heavily.”
He added that the rapists, “based at the military garrison of Fanga”, have not been apprehended.
