Woman, child injured in South Darfur inferno

A woman and her child sustained serious burns in a massive fire in the area of Abu Ajura in South Darfur on Tuesday.
A witness told Radio Dabanga from Morrai Junga, where the fire broke out that Fatima Mohamed Abdeljalil and her child sustained serious burns.
“They are currently being treated at the Nyala Teaching Hospital.”
He added that the fire destroyed 17 dwelling huts, about SDG8,000 ($1,300) in cash, more than 300 large sacks of charcoal, and large quantities of sorghum and dried okra.
