Woman burns to death in North Darfur village attack

An elderly woman died and four children went missing in a militia attack on the village of Masalit in Tawila locality today.
A fleeing villager reported to Radio Dabanga that members of a government militia in six Land Cruisers mounted with Dushka machineguns and others riding camels raided the village, 15 kilometres west of Tabit, this afternoon.
“They fired around them with their machineguns which ignited a number of straw roofs. Aisha Ibrahim (75) burned to death in her one-room hut.”
“We all fled towards Tabit,” he said. “Four children went missing in the chaos.”
