A water tank collapsed yesterday in Djabal Camp for refugees in eastern Chad. The collapsed tank had provided water for around 6 thousand people. The collapse led to severe thirst in the camp. The refugees appealed to the concerned authorities to speed up fixing the situation and reduce the water shortage in the camp. In another development, the National High Committee for Refugees in Eastern Chad demolished several houses in Kanokano camp without prior notice to open an emergency route. One of the victims of the house demolitions appealed to the committee through Radio Dabanga to give them a period of time before continuing with the demolitions.
