UN Mission in Darfur honors its 28 slain

The United Nations and African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) remembered its 28 members who have been killed due to violent acts since the start of its duty in Darfur during early 2008. Garlands of flowers have been place in memory of those who lost their lives for peace in Darfur.

The event is celebrated for the more than 120.000 police, army and civilian UN peacekeepers spread all over the world.
