UAE charity opens facilities in central Darfur town

A number of new public facilities opened in Tawila in North Darfur, set up by the Al Maktoum Charity from the UAE. The facilities, which were opened in the presence of the governor and a representative from Al Maktoum, include a school-based medical clinic, a mosque, housing for teachers and electricity and water stations for a small area. Governor Osman Kibir spoke at the celebration in Tawila last week to mark the opening of the facilities.
