Two more villages torched near Tabit, North Darfur

The villages of Um Siyala and Mursal in El Fasher locality, North Darfur, were destroyed by fire by militiamen today and Wednesday. A woman was injured when gunmen fired at the vehicle she was travelling in near El Fasher, capital of North Darfur, on Wednesday.
“A group of militiamen on camels torched all the 150 houses of Um Siyala, 5km east of Tabit, this afternoon,” one of the victims told Dabanga.

“A group of militiamen on camels torched all the 150 houses of Um Siyala, 5km east of Tabit, this afternoon,” one of the victims told Dabanga.

On Wednesday evening, neighbouring Mursal was set on fire, after the attackers had assaulted the inhabitants, and robbed them of all their belongings.

“Adam Bakhit Yahya sustained serious injuries, and was transferred to El Fasher Teaching Hospital this morning,” a relative reported to Dabanga.

This morning, Dabanga reported that four villages, north of Tabit, were attacked on Wednesday by militiamen riding on camels. Militiamen pillaged the villages, and torched three of them.

The same day, gunmen shot at a passenger vehicle in front of the Um Hashaba gate, in the vicinity of Zamzam. “Fatima Omar Yahya sustained bullet wounds,” one of her fellow passengers told Dabanga.
