Two men tortured to death in detention

Sadig Musa and Idris Adam arrested by security authorities in Central Darfur on April 11 have died as a result of torture in detention. The young men were residents of Rokiro of Murra Mount in Central Darfur. A relative of one of the men told Radio Dabanga that security transferred the men’s bodies on Thursday evening to a morgue in Zalingei. On Friday morning then reportedly took them to an unknown place in the direction of Nyala in South Darfur. The family member said they have not yet received the bodies of the men. The graduates were attending interviews for jobs at an office in Zalingei when they were arrested and taken to security authority headquarters. Ahmed Latif Fadul Nur and Ahmed Yahia Muhammed were also arrested at the time and remain in detention. They are not allowed to see their families or access lawyers raising fears they may meet a similar fate.
