They assailants fled to an unknown destination. The incident sparked panic among gold miners and led them to flee the site.

The survivor explained that the deceased were from Malum and Mershing. They have been transferred to Kabkabiya morgue.

In another criminal incident, Yahia Turin Abdullah was assassinated by gunmen in Addar Locality of Al Geneina on Wednesday. A relative of the deceased man told Radio Dabanga that the armed gunmen entered the victim’s house on Wednesday at 3 AM and fired two shots into his head while he was sleeping. They perpetrators then fled from sight but were caught and handed over to the police.
