Two girls gang-raped in North Darfur

Three herders raped two sisters, aged 14 and 11, living in the Zamzam camp for the displaced near El Fasher, capital of North Darfur, on Wednesday.
Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a relative of the victims reported that the girls were tending their family’s farm in the area of Abuzireiga area, south of El Fasher, on Wednesday afternoon, when three herdsmen seized them at gunpoint.
“They raped them, keeping them until Thursday morning,” he said.
A search team tracked down the rapists, captured them, and handed them to the police.
The two victims were taken to the Saudi Hospital in El Fasher. “The condition of the 11-year-old girl is very critical,” the relative said. “She is in a coma and still bleeding”.
