Two businessmen  in Yagu village in Darfur were arrested last week in a raid by government soldiers and militias loyal to the Khartoum regime.

Two businessmen  in Yagu village in Darfur were arrested last week in a raid by government soldiers and militias loyal to the Khartoum regime.The two businessmen were identified as Idris Mohamed Adam and Abdullah Magid Simijidu. According to Radio Dabanga’s local source, the army and militias came in 10  Land Cruiser  pick-ups  and first looted the cars belonging to the businessmen, as well as items belonging to other people of the area.

The source said the looters beat the people while taking away their things. He complained of looting recently in the western part of El Fashir by the malitias and government troops targeting businessmen in the area.

He concluded that the two businessmen arrested by the army and the militas loyal to the government  were taken to an known place.
