Three raped in Darfur’s Jebel Marra

In two separate incidents on Sunday and Monday, three young women were sexually assaulted in Darfur’s East Jebel Marra.

One of the victims’ relatives told Radio Dabanga that five armed men, “members of a militia”, riding on camels ambushed a brother and two sisters aged 18 and 23 at Mashrou Abu Zeid.

The armed men severely beat the brother, tied him down, and raped his sisters in front of him.
In another incident, two militiamen raped a 17 year-old woman at gunpoint as she walked to Numera village for farming.
