Three men abducted in North Darfur

On Sunday, an armed group abducted three people from Masalit village in Tabet locality, North Darfur. A relative of one of the victims said 12 insurgents traveling on horseback kidnapped three people as they ventured out to collect firewood. They are named as Al Tom Adam, Mekhi Ali Osman and Musa Abu El Timan. The source said relatives and police managed to track down the kidnappers in Mistrei forest. However the armed group demanded a ransom of 45,000 Sudanese Pounds. They said they abducted the men in revenge, and for compensation, as they accused the men of killing one of their relatives.
